The dishevelled singer looked a state as she left a Hollywood nightclub in the early hours with a female pal.

I'm sure she needs to clean up her act not just for her career (which is all the papers seem to care about) but more importantly for her health. She looks permanently bladdered, and despite knocking herself into kick-ass shape after her 2nd baby, the weight is creeping back on again.

I do feel sorry for her. But she has a four-month-old baby and a toddler son. As much as Britney needs to let her hair down, they need their mum.

Do other countries do this I wonder? Drag up a bunch of hasbeens, wannabees and never-will-be's and pop them in the BB house? I can't bear to watch it but I did watch Russell Brand (whose hair is even bigger) last night and so long as you don't have to actually watch the Z-listers doing anything then it's almost palatable.

I saw the last 30 minutes of them entering the house and the best part was seeing Dirk Benedict being driven to the red carpet in the A-team van. Magic.

If you do want to check on the status of the housemates then I'd suggest the tabloid UK paper THE SUN's coverage to be one of the best. Be cautious though, I've never succumbed to a CBB series myself but I hear it's terribly addictive.

The day after she 'fainted' or 'fell asleep' or whatever happened on New Year's Eve, Britney Spears reportedly checked into Sanctuary, a posh persons resort and spa in Arizona, citing "exhaustion," - eg rehab in all probability.

"With these celebrities, 'exhaustion' sometimes means something else and a little rest at a spa sometimes actually translates into something a little more serious," says a source. Spears' rep couldn't be reached for comment, but L&S reports that the singer's parents are urging their daughter to go into therapy. "It's just been heartbreaking for her parents to watch Britney on this downward spiral," an "insider" said. "It's so sad."

Former STEPS star IAN 'H' WATKINS has publicly confirmed he is gay and has been secretly dating his former manager for 10 years.

The pair, who split up a few months ago, kept their relationship secret because the British singer feared fans' reactions to the revelation, especially in his hometown in Wales.

"I could never have done this (come out) years ago, never. I was still coming to terms with it myself. But I'm comfortable with who I am now and I want everyone to know.

"I feel like a weight's coming off my shoulders. It's nice. I'm glad I'm doing this and I feel it's the right time."

Fair play to him I say. Not that he was the camp one out of possibly the campest ever crap-pop act in the UK or anything. I mean, look at the video evidence and ask yourself, how raging straight did he always seem back then? (He's the blonde dude for those who may not know).

Where was Jenna last night? She is normally in the audience cheering her man on and suggested in a recent MySpace blog she'd be there but uncharacteristically the cameramen showed no shots of her. I'm guessing she wasn't there because they'd have shown Jenna at some point seeing as Steffi Graf was shown twice, right?

I'd have liked to have seen John McCarthy as the ref for the main event also, I thought Mazzagatti was perhaps a little hasty.

The singer made no effort to hide the fact she was visiting a Los Angeles tattoo parlour late on Tuesday with her sister, Jamie Lynn in tow. The pair stayed in full view of the cameras in the Devil Doll Tattoo Parlour, as the mother-of-two got a small black star tattooed onto her right hand.

The 'Toxic' singer has come under fire for her wild partying and 'unmotherly' behaviour since leaving her husband. Her new friendship with socialite Paris Hilton has seen her become a frequent visitor to the Los Angeles party scene.

Kevin has reportedly filed for custody of their two sons claiming that he can prove that Britney is an unfit mother.

It never seemed like either of them had much clue, but Brit I am sure loves her children. I can but imagine that she wishes she'd noticed that hooking up with someone whose girlfriend was six months pregnant (but that's ok because he left her for you right?) might not make the best life partner or patriarch.
